Maren is a student researcher for the Native Policy Lab (NPL) at the University of Iowa. Her major area of study is Public Health, with a minor in Public Policy. Maren is expected to graduate in May of 2026. After graduation, Maren hopes to work in international public health policy. Her favorite part of doing research for the NPL is "the incredible opportunity for hands-on learning about the history of relationships between the government and Native Americans. It makes the work we are doing feel more impactful and necessary."
